THE GATELY/POOLE JUSTIN MENTELL SCHOLARSHIP

The Gately/Poole Conservatory is offering a scholarship in memory of Justin Mentell who died February 1st, 2010 in a car accident.

Justin graduated from Northern Illinois University (NIU) in May 2005 and was cast in a starring role in the TV Series, "Boston Legal" upon graduation. That year, the series won the Emmy Award for Best Acting Ensemble. In the same year, he won the Gold Reel Award for Best Actor. In 2009 he was the recipient of the outstanding alumni award from NIU.

Other film roles include the parts: Terrell in "GFORCE", Ryan in "Palo Alto, CA", and Nat in "At the Still Point".

He was a gracious man and a humble actor who was respected by everyone who worked with him. The scholarship will be offered each year for one of the Gately/Poole Conservatory Summer Intensive Acting Workshops.
