Dear Rick & Kathryn,
I've had a few incredible life moments recently that I wanted to share with you. Last month at the completion of my scene study class with Michelle Bossy of Primary Stages, I performed in a showcase. We received written feedback and I had a lovely note from Camille Hickman (casting director of Lincoln Center Theater).
Clearly I have you both to thank for the training that has gotten me such wonderful feedback. So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart for having me at your intensive this past July. In addition to having a successful showcase, I was selected by Adam Bernstein to be a core employee on a brand new TV show for NBC called Next Caller. While the role is still technically background at this point, I have been featured in several scenes and I am working 4-5 days a week currently. One of the best things about this show is that Jeffrey Tambor is a member of the cast and I've gotten to watch him work which is truly inspiring and remarkable. If that weren't enough, he asked me to do my monologue for him on set yesterday. So, as scared as I felt, I did it right there and in front of the writer & director of the TV show.
I feel as though I have gained some serious momentum here in New York since taking your intensive and that I need to pursue higher level agency representation. If you have any suggestions as to an agent that you think might be a good fit for me, I would be grateful for any advice.
I hope that you and your family are well.
Best Regards, Nikiya
